Square root of a number is a value, which on multiplication by itself gives the original number. The square root is an inverse method of squaring a number.

Example:

Square root of $36$ is $6$

Since, $6\times 6=36$

In general, square root of a number natural number '$n$' can be represented as $\sqrt{n}$.

i.e., $\sqrt{36}=6$

Square root of a negative number does not exist in real numbers.

Similarly, $(6{)}^2=36$ [Since, $6^2$ means $6\times 6$].
