Symmetry:
When a line or plane can be traced across an object, the two sides become mirror reflections of one another. The object then possesses symmetry.
- Any line splitting a shape into two parts such that the two parts are the same is called a line of symmetry. These parts are also said to be symmetrical to each other.
- Symmetry refers to something that is the same on both sides of an axis.
- Example: A circle that is the same on both sides when folded along its diameter is an example of symmetry.
