Question

What is the age of the sun?

Open in App
Solution

  1. The sun seems to be the ultimate source of heat as well as light, and even the center of such a solar system. It is formed of very hot gas. It provides the tugging force which thus holds the solar system together.
  2. The Sun is approximately 4.5billion years old. It has consumed almost half of such hydrogen through its core since its inception. This would continue in to "peaceful manner" radiate for another 5billion years or more.
  3. However, it will ultimately run out of hydrogen fuel. It will subsequently be obliged to make drastic alterations that, while normal by stellar standards, ultimately result in the utter destruction of the Earth.

Therefore, the age of the sun is 4.5 billion years old.
