What is the 'Amrita Devi Bishnoi National Award'?
Amrita Devi Bishnoi is most remembered for the protection of Khejri trees in Rajasthan. This award has been instituted by the government of India. The award has been designed in the remembrance of the contribution of Amrita Devi and her other conservatives representatives for the conservation of Khejri tree (Shammi in Hindi) from being cut. This award is given for significant and lead contribution in the field of wildlife protection.
