What is the antiderivative of 1x2?

Open in App
Solution

Antiderivative of a function.

The antiderivative of a variable x raised power of n is computed by using the power rule.

According to the power rule,

xndx=xn+1n+1+C

We have to find the antiderivative of 1x2.

1x2dx=x-2dx1xn=x-n=x-2+1-2+1n=-2=x-1-1=-1x+C

Hence, 1x2dx=-1x+C , Where C is a constant.
