The correct option is D 21 sq.cm
We have 11 fully filled squares, so area covered by 11 fully filled squares = 11 x 1 sq.cm = 11 sq.cm​

There are 10 half filled or more than half filled squares, we consider each half filled or more than half filled squares as occupying 1 sq.cm,therefore area occupied by half filled or more than half filled squares = 10 x 1 = 10 sq.cm ​

Total Area occupied = 11 + 10 = 21 sq.cm
