We know Power Pdc=I2×R
Power desssipatied when current flowing is 2A
Pdc=4×R
now PAC=I2rms×R
where Irms=root square value of AC current.
Now according to question
Pac=4×PdcI2rms=4×4Irms=4A
Now if the AC signal is sinusoidal,
IP=1.414×4=5.656A
