Given composite figure can be divided into two rectangles as depicted in the figure below.


Now, area bounded by the composite figure is equivalent to the sum of areas of two rectangles as marked in the above figure,

Area of rectangle I =4×2=8 cm2
[Area of rectangle = Length × Width]

Area of rectangle II =3×2=6 cm2

Therefore, Area bounded by composite figure =8+6=14 cm2.

(c) is the correct option.
