Area of a parallelogram.

The parallelogram's area is the space contained by its 4 sides.
The area of a parallelogram is equal to the product of its length and height.
The total of a quadrilateral's internal angles equals 360°.
Formula. Area of a parallelogram= Base × Height

Area of a triangle.

The area of a triangle is defined as the total region that is enclosed by the three sides of any particular triangle.

Formula. Area of a triangle =12× Base × Height

Example.

Base (b) = 4 cm

Height (h) = 5 cm

Area (a)=?

Calculating the area of a parallelogram.

Area=4×5=20cm2

Calculating the area of a triangle.

Area=12×4×5=202cm2=10cm2

Hence, the area of a parallelogram and triangle is “20cm2 and 10cm2”.
