What is the area of each small square in Fig 6.21 if the area of the entire figure is 96 sq cm. Find the perimeter of the figure?​

Total number of small square = 24
Area of each small square =Total area of figureTotal number of square
=9624
=4 cm2
Total area of each small square =(side)2
(side)2=4 cm2
(side)=2 cm
Total number of sides of small squares appearing around the boundary of figure = 34
Perimeter of figure = Number of sides × side length
Perimeter of figure = (34 × 2) cm
= 68 cm
Therefore, The area of each small square is 4 cm2 and the perimeter of the figure is 68 cm.
