Banana leaf is an irregular object. To calculate the area of the leaf, the idea is to count the number of sqaures of the graph where more than half of the unit square is covered and approximate it to 1.
Number of complete squares on the banana leaf are: n1=11
Number of squares which are more than half covered are: n2=6
Number of squares which are half covered are: n3=0
Total number of squares covered:
n=n1+n2+n3×12 =11+6+0 =17
