The correct option is A 12×h×b
We have a right triangle as given.

If we take a rectangle and divide it into 2 along the diagonal, we will get two right triangles like this.


So, basically a right triangle is half of a rectangle.

Then the area of a right triangle will also be half of a rectangle.

We know, area of a rectangle is the product of it's length and breadth.

In this case we have considered the length as breadth which is represented as 'b' and the width as height which is represented as 'h'.

Therefore, the area of the rectangle will be =h×b

Since, the area of the triangle is half of that of the rectangle, it will be =12×h×b

Thus option 'a' is correct.
