Solution

The correct option is C 2.99×1023cm3
To find the volume occupied by one molecule of H2O,
we'll have to first convert the moles to grams.
Note that 1 mole is different from 1 1molecule.
1 mole of the compound contains Avogadro's number of molecules, atoms, small entities.

We know that,
1 mol of H2O = 6.0223×1023molecules

1 molecule of H2O = 1molH2O6.0223×1023 =1.66×1024molH2O

Number of moles = Weight takenMolecular Weight

1.66×1024mol=Weight taken 18

Weight=18×1.66×1024

=2.99×1023gH2O

As we know that 1g of water (H2O) occupies $1cm^{3}

2.99×1023g of H2O occupies 2.99×1023cm3
