Solution
Classification of tissues:
Depending on whether cells that are formed are capable to divide or not, tissues are classified.
They are divided into two broad groups – meristematic and permanent tissues.
Meristematic tissues: Meristematic tissue is a straightforward tissue with only one type of cell. Meristematic tissues are present exclusively in a few regions of the plant body (the base, stem, and branches). Root apex and Shoot apex are examples of meristematic tissue.
Permanent tissues: The permanent tissue is a type of plant tissue that has finished its development and differentiation and is no longer capable of dividing. Permanent tissue cells are mature and have a set size, shape, and function. Every portion of the plant's body has permanent tissue.
