Our sun is a part of a huge star group system having billions of stars in it. It is known as Galaxy. The Galaxy in which our sun exists is popularly known as the Milky Way Galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy looks like a flat disc. The centre of the Milky Way is called Galactic centre, it is surrounded by a large central bulge with five spiral arms coiled around it. This is why Milky Way is also known as a spiral galaxy.
