What is the cost of painting the two adjacent walls of a hall at Rs.5 per sq. m. which has no windows or doors ?
I. The area of the hall is 24 sq.m.
II. The breadth, length and height of the hall are in the ratio of 4 : 6 : 5 respectively
III. Area of one walls 30 sq. m.
From Statement II
breadth =4x, length =6x and height =5x
Area of one wall =length×height=30x2=30 sq. m.
Therefore x=1
⟹ length =6, breadth =4 and height =5
Surface area of two walls =(length×height)+(breadth×height)
=30+20=50sq.m
Therefore, cost of painting two adjacent walls =5×50=250Rs.
Hence, only statement II and III are required.
