Question

What is Curie point of a magnet?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Curie point is a temperature at which magnetic materials pass through a change in their magnetic properties.
  2. This temperature is called Curie point or the Curie temperature.
  3. The mathematical relation for Curie point
    χ=CT-TC
    where,χ represents magnetic susceptibility, C represents material specific Curie constant, T represents absolute temperature and TCrepresents Curie temperature.
  4. At Curie temperature ferromagnetic materials behave like paramagnetic material.
