What is the current produced by electromagnetic induction in a conductor called?

Open in App
Solution

Electromagnetic induction:

  1. When a coil is allowed to rotate in a uniform magnetic field, an induced current is produced in the coil. This phenomenon is known as electromagnetic induction.
  2. In 1831, Michael Faraday discovered electromagnetic induction, which was mathematically characterized by James Clerk Maxwell as Faraday's law of induction.

Hence, the current produced by electromagnetic induction in a conductor is known as induced current.
