Open in App
Solution

Dear student

Carnot cycle is an ideal heat-engine cycle in which the working substance goes through the four successive operations-
1) isothermal expansion to a desired point
2) adiabatic expansion to a desired point,
3) isothermal compression
4)adiabatic compression back to its initial state.

Carnot engine is an engine which works on the above cyclic process.
