Solution

  1. The end portion (of a body, a leaf, a petal, etc.) that has a dull or rounded edge is referred to as a "blunt end."
  2. An end of a DNA double helix known as a sticky end is one where a few unpaired nucleotides of one strand protrude beyond the other.
Basis for comparisonSticky endsBlunt ends
FormationWhen a restriction enzyme makes staggered cuts that aren't exactly opposite each other, it's called a staggered cut. When a restriction enzyme cuts both DNA strands in the same spot, it creates a restriction site.
Physical characteristicsOverhangs on the ends allow the two ends to base-pair and connect with another DNA strand.
There are no overhangs or unpaired bases on the ends, which are blunt.
