Open in App
Solution

Although the construction of both dynamo and motor is same, there is the difference in the basic function they perform. A motor utilises the energy of an electric current to cause rotation of coil and shaft while a dynamo converts the mechanical energy from rotation to electric current using the principal of electromagnetic induction.
