What is the difference between a Graafian follicle and a corpus luteum?

Graafian Follicle and Corpus Luteum:

1. The Graafian follicle is a fully grown follicle that ruptures during the ovulatory phase and releases the ovum.
   
2. After ovulation, the Graafian follicle develops into the corpus luteum. During the first trimester of pregnancy, a mass of cells called a corpus luteum forms in the ovary and is in charge of producing progesterone.

The Graafian follicle converts into the corpus luteum after ovulation, which secretes progesterone and is necessary for pregnancy maintenance.	This is a collection of cells that originates inside our ovaries during each menstrual cycle.
