What is the difference between a mineral and an ore?

Minerals	Ores
Minerals are naturally occurring compounds of metals that are mixed with impurities such as soil, sand etc. All minerals are not ores. Examples include Talc, Diamond, Quartz, etc.	A mineral from which a metal can be extracted economically and easily is called an ore. All ores are minerals. Examples includes Bauxite (ore of aluminium), Hematite (ore of Iron) etc.
