What is the difference between silent mutation and non sense mutation?
Silent mutation:
A silent mutation is a change in the sequence of nucleotide bases that constitutes DNA strands without a change in amino acids.
Nonsense mutation:
A nonsense mutation is a point mutation that leads to a change of a codon to the stop codon.
Differences between silent and non-sense mutation:
Silent mutation | Nonsense mutation |

|
2. Silent mutations are mutations in which the amino acid sequence is not altered | 2. The nonsense mutation changes the amino acid sequence. |
3. Example: Laron dwarfism | 3. Example: Cystic fibrosis |
