What is the difference between bond energy and bond enthalpy

Solution
Bond enegy and bond enthalpy are same. To be more accurate bond enthalpy is the correct term to represent than bond energy. Bond enthalpy is the energy required to break one mole of covalent bond to give atoms. For example in the following reaction . Bond enthalpy/bond energy is energy required to break the one mole of HCl molecules ( molecules of HCl) at constant pressure. It is endothermic. Alternatively bond enthapy can be calculated from the energy released at constant pressure when one mole of covalent bonds are formed by just changing the sign. For example if the enthalpy change for one mole of HCl formation is -262kJoules, the bond energy/bond enthalpy of HCl is +262 kJoules/mole So bond enthalpy/bond energy is the energy required to break the bond and if there is a confusion in some other parts/videos it is not correct. Bond energy/Bond enthalpy are same and endothermic.
