Dicondylic skull:

The skull in which two occipital condyles are present is known as the dicondylic skull.

Monocondylic skull:

The skull exhibiting one occipital condyle is present is known as the monocondylic skull.

1. The skull is associated with the body with the help of two articulatory condyles joining the skull with the atlas. 1. In this skull, only one condyle is present which joins the head with the rest of the body.
2. The movement of the head is more restricted because of the presence of two condyles.2. The presence of only a single condyle allows the free movement of the skull up to 270°.
