Question

What is the difference between expression and equation?

Open in App
Solution

The primary difference between the two is an equals sign. An equation has a left side, a right side and an equals sign separating the sides. Equations also may have solutions.

The general form is A=B

An expression, by contrast, doesn't have any 'sides' . They don't certainly have solutions.an expression can include numbers, variables, operators, sets, matrices, and other single things that can all be evaluated to one thing.
