What is the difference between hinge joints and pivotal joints?
Hinge joint:
A kind of synovial joint, which prevails in the body and functions to permit motion mainly in one plane is a hinge joint.
Pivot joint:
The rotary joint or the pivot joint refers to a freely movable joint, which permits rotary motion around a single axis.
