What is the difference between immiscible, insoluble, miscible and soluble

The terms miscible & immiscible are reffered to liquids.
Have you mixed oil and water, what happened?
oil will float over water, because it have lower density. This is also because that oil & water are immiscible in nature.

Have you put a drop of fountain pen ink in water, what happened?
They simply get mixed. So here, ink & water are said to be miscible to each other.

Soluble & insoluble terms are generally reffered to ta combination of a solid & a liquid.

What happens when you put a pinch of salt into water?
Yes, the salt vanishes into the water, or we can say, salt is soluble in water.

Now try putting a piece of chalk into a glass of water, what did you observe?
Yes the chalk becomes wet, but we are still able to see the wet chalk inside the glass of water. Means the chalk is insoluble in water.
