Ionisation enthalpy is defined as the amount of energy required to remove the most loosely bound electron from the isolated gaseous atom in its ground state.
The average value of bond dissociation enthalpy is called bond enthalpy. (Bond dissociation enthalpy is the energy required to break one mole of a particular type of bond in a molecule)
Energy required to break one mole of an ionic compound into its constituent ions in the gaseous state is called lattice enthalpy.
