What is the difference between mass and weight and amount of substance

mass is the actual amount of material contained in a body and is measured in kg, gm, etc. Whereas weight is the force exerted by the gravity on that object mg. Note that mass is independent of everything but weightis different on the earth, moon.


Amount of substance, as defined by SI System is the number of moles in a given sample of substance, a mole being equal to around 6 × 10^23 atoms.
