What is the difference between NSS and NCC?

NSS stands for National Service Scheme while NCC stands for National Cadet Corps.

NSS helps in personality development of the students through community service. Whereas NCC helps in personality development of students through different physical activities that helps in building stamina of the students.

Different activities that are included in NSS are environment enrichment and conservation, women empowerment programmes, social service programmes, education and recreation, and blood donation.

The activities that are included in NCC are annual training camp, adventure sports camp, NCC national games, Nau, Vayu, and Thal sainik camp, and Republic day participation and camp.
