What is the difference between null vector and zero vector?

Open in App
Solution

There is no difference. Both are same. Zero vector or Null vector is a vector whose magnitude is zero. Hence whatever direction it may have, it does not matter since its magnitude is zero. Hence we can say that it's direction is arbitrary.

both null vector and zero vector are same.

they possess ZERO magnitude and ARBITRARY direction
