Open in App
Solution

Harmonics: It is a wave whose frequency is an integral multiple of the frequency of the same wave. There is two types of harmonics- odd and even harmonics.

Fundamental Frequency: The lowest resonant frequency of a vibrating object is called its fundamental frequency.

Difference between odd and even harmonics:

Odd harmonicsEven harmonics
1. Odd harmonics are those harmonics where the numbers of frequencies are odd.1. Whereas even harmonics are those where the numbers of frequencies are even.
2. For example: 150Hz,250Hz,350Hz etc. in the fundamental frequency of 50Hz.2. For example: 100Hz,200Hz,300Hz etc. in the fundamental frequency of 100Hz.
