What is the difference between recruitment and selection?

Recruitment is defined as the process of searching prospective workers stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organisation whereas Selection is process of choosing the right candidate for the job from the applications received in the recruitment process. Right candidate is the person has minimum educational qualification, skills and experience to perform a job in well manner.

Recruitment is a positive approach whereas Selection is a negative approach.
