Question

What is the difference between resonant and resonating frequency?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

In an LCR series circuit, if the frequency of the source is changing, then at a particular frequency, the impedance of the circuit becomes minimum and current through the circuit becomes maximum. This phenomenon is called Resonance (the term is known as resonant) and the frequency at which this happens is called Resonant Frequency.
