Solution

The correct option is C Rs. 2.04
C.I when interest is compounded yearly
= ⎢ ⎢5000×(1+4100)×⎜ ⎜1+12×4100⎟ ⎟⎥ ⎥
= Rs. (5000×2625×5150) = Rs. 5,304
C.I when interest is compounded half-yearly
= Rs. [5000×(1+2100)3]
= Rs. (5000×5150×5150×5150)
= Rs. 5,306.04
difference =5306.045.304=2.04
