Solution

The correct option is B Rs 4.08
C.I. when interest is compounded annually but time is given in fraction (tab) years, then
=P(1+R100)t×⎜ ⎜1+ab×R100⎟ ⎟P
=⎢ ⎢ ⎢10000×(1+4100)1×⎜ ⎜ ⎜1+12×4100⎟ ⎟ ⎟⎥ ⎥ ⎥10000

C.I. when interest is compounded yearly =10000×2625×515010000

C.I. when interest compounded yearly =1060810000=Rs. 608

C.I. when interest is compounded half-yearly
=P(1+R100×2)2T, where T is the number of years
=[10000×(1+42×100)3]10000

C.I. when interest is compounded half-yearly =10000×(5150)210000

C.I. when interest is compounded half-yearly =1061210000=Rs 612.08
Difference =612.08608=Rs 4.08
