Solution

The correct option is C 6594

To obtain the greatest 4 digit number; put the greatest number at the extreme left, then put the remaining digits in descending order of their values.
Greatest four digit number made = 9973
To obtain the smallest 4 digit number; put the smallest number at the extreme left, then put the remaining digits in ascending order of their values.

Smallest four digit number made = 3379
Difference between greatest and smallest numbers = 9973 – 3379 = 6594
