What is the difference between weak electrolyte and non-electrolyte?
Weak electrolyte | Non-electrolyte |
1. Those electrolytes which get ionized only to a small extent in the aqueous solution are weak electrolytes. | 1. Those substances which do not dissociate or ionized into ions are categorized as non-electrolytes. |
2. They can conduct electricity due to presence of ions but to a very less extent as compared to strong electrolytes | 2. They do not conduct electricity. |
3. Mostly they are less polar in nature. | 3. They are non-polar covalent compounds. |
