Solution

Effect of Nitric acid

(ⅰ ) As Nitric acid is acidic in nature, Phenolphthalein exist as colourless indicating that it is acid.

(ⅱ) Litmus solution turns blue to red colour solution. The red colour solution indicates acidic nature on Nitric acid.

(ⅱⅰ) Methyl orange turns it colour from orange to pink(red) in acidic medium. Adding methyl orange to nitric acid solution turns it pink)(red) indicating the acidic nature.

So, due to acidic nature of Nitric acid it turns blue litmus solution to red, Phenolphthalein to colourless and Methyl orange to pink (red) colour.
