What is the effect of pressure on the boiling point of water?

Boiling point of water increases on increasing the pressure and decreases on decreasing the pressure.
Water boils at 100 ⁰C at normal atmospheric pressure i.e. at 1 atm. At pressure greater than 1 atm, water boils at above 100 degree celsius.
