What is the effect of temperature on the rate of diffusion?
Temperature:
We define temperature as the average kinetic energy of all the atoms or molecules of a substance. It is the measure of hotness or coldness expressed in terms of scales like Fahrenheit and Celsius.
With the increase in temperature the kinetic energy of the particle increases and as a result the rate of diffusion, i.e., the movement of particles from one medium to another takes place at a faster rate.
The rate of diffusion increases with the increase in temperature.
