Solution

TCA cycle:

  1. The other names for tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, are Krebs or citric acid cycle since this cycle involves three carboxyl groups (COOH) so the TCA cycle.
  2. This cycle involves a series of chemical reactions and a major part of aerobic respiration.
  3. Aerobic organisms release stored energy through the oxidation of acetyl CoA into ATP.

The end product of each TCA cycle are:

  1. 3 molecules NADH,
  2. 1 molecules FADH2,
  3. 2 molecules of CO2,
  4. 1 molecule GTP,
  5. 1 molecule nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) and
  6. 1 molecule flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD)
  7. 2 ATP are produced from the FAD and NAD+ during TCA cycle.
