The correct option is D 2x + y - 2 = 0
Let the equation of the line be
$\frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{b} = 1$
Given,
$b = 2 a$
$=> \frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{2 a} = 1$
The line passes through $(- 2, 6)$
$∴ \frac{- 2}{a} + \frac{6}{2 a} = 1$
$=> \frac{- 4 + 6}{2 a} = 1$
$=> 2 = 2 a$
$=> a = 1$
$∴ b = 2 \times 1$
$= 2$
$∴$ Equation of line is
$\frac{x}{1} + \frac{y}{2} = 1$
$=> 2 x + y = 2$
$=> 2 x + y - 2 = 0$
