Excretion:-

  1. The elimination of metabolic waste products from the body is called excretion.
  2. Example:- Humans excrete Urea, Birds excrete uric acid etc

Excretory system:-

  1. The group of excretory organs formed the excretory system.
  2. The excretory system in human beings consists of a pair of kidneys, a pair of ureters, a urinary bladder and a urethra.

Kidney:-

  1. The kidneys are bean-shaped organs towards the back of our body just above the waist.
  2. The kidneys clean our blood by filtering it to remove unwanted substances present in it.


Ureter: -

  1. The ureters are a pair of long, narrow, thin-walled, and tubular structures which start from the kidney, run down, and open in the urinary bladder.

Urinary bladder:-

  1. The urinary bladder is a thin-walled, elastic, pear-shaped sac present in the lower part of the abdomen. It stores the urine until the increase in pressure and urges to expel.

Urethra: -

  1. The urethra is a muscular and tubular structure that extends from the urinary bladder to the outside that removed urine outside.
