Open in App
Solution

Conditional probability:

The probability of happening of an event when another event relevant to the first event has already occurred is called conditional probability.

The probability of occurrence of any event A when another event B in relation to A has already occurred is,

P(A|B)=P(AB)P(B)

Hence, the formula for conditional probability is P(A|B)=P(AB)P(B)
