Question

What is the freezing and melting point of water? Are they same?

Open in App
Solution

The freezing point of a matter in liquid state and the melting point of the same matter in solid state has same value. This is because during the state change, from liquid to solid (freezing) or solid to liquid (melting), the temperature remains constant.
So, freezing point as well as melting point of water is 0oC.
