Question

What is the frictional force when at the time of you lifting a body above a rough surface {as the bonds at the interference are trying to pull the body the back and also they are trying to trying to push the ground up}?

Solution

When you lift the body it breaks the contact between surface and body so there is no friction force between surface and body.bcz as we know friction oppose the relative motion between surface and body (both are in contact).if there is no contact between them then there is no friction force but if we talk about the friction at the time of contact separation that time there is contact between surface and body so friction force will be equal to umg where u is the friction coefficient m mass of body.
