Solution

Full form of ADH :

  1. Antidiuretic hormone is the expanded name for the abbreviation ADH.
  2. Vasopressin is another name for it.

ADH control of osmoregulation in human kidney:

  1. It's a hormone produced by the brain's hypothalamus.
  2. It is stored in the posterior pituitary gland.
  3. The amount of water in the blood is regulated and balanced by ADH.
  4. The volume and pressure exerted in the blood will grow as the water concentration rises.
  5. The secretion of ADH is triggered by a rise in osmolality.
  6. The water permeability of proximal and collecting tubules is increased by ADH.
  7. It enables increased water absorption and concentrated urine excretion.
  8. The calcium concentration in the collecting ducts is also increased.
  9. It improves the reabsorption of water by increasing the permeability of the collecting duct to urea.
  10. It also enhances sodium absorption in the Henle loop, causing water to be reabsorbed.
